Getting from London to the Cotswolds is quick and easy! You can enjoy a 90-minute train ride to the charming towns of Kingham or Charlbury, or rent a car for a scenic drive of under two hours. Transportation will be provided to and from all wedding events.

Traveling by Train

Our accommodations are spread across two cozy Cotswolds towns, Kingham and Charlbury, both of which are home to train stations served by the Great Western Railway (GWR) line.

We recommend booking tickets for the GWR in advance through accredited ticketing platforms such as National Rail or Trainline.

Guests staying at The Bell or The Bull should debark at Charlbury station, whereas guests staying at all other accommodations should debark at Kingham station.

Please note that once you arrive at your train station, you may need to arrange a taxi for the final part of your journey. As rideshare services like Uber and Lyft do not operate in the Cotswolds, we strongly recommend pre-booking a local taxi in advance. You’ll find a list of trusted local operators below.

Access via London Heathrow Airport (Recommended)

The journey between London Heathrow Airport and our various accommodations typically takes between 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on destination and train times. Recommended directions to access our accommodations via London Heathrow Airport are as follows:

At London Heathrow, board the Heathrow Express train or the Elizabeth line towards London Paddington Station.

At London Paddington, transfer to the Great Western Railway (GWR) line towards Hereford or Worcester Foregate Street.

Debark the GWR at Kingham or Charlbury Station, depending on your accommodation.

Access via London Gatwick

The journey between London Gatwick Airport and our various accommodations typically takes around 2 hours and 40 minutes. Recommended directions to access our accommodations via London Gatwick Airport are as follows:

At London Gatwick, take the Great Western Railway (GWR) line towards Reading.

At Reading, transfer to the GWR line towards Hereford or Worcester Foregate Street.

Debark the GWR at Kingham or Charlbury Station, depending on your accommodation.

The Sheep

Set in the picturesque market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Sheep at Stow is a delightful inn!

Daylesford Pub Rooms & Cottages
